After the disappointment of Wednesday night’s knockout defeat to Bradford City, Burnley turn their attention back to league action as they travel to Carrow Road to take on Norwich City.
The Clarets are still searching for their first victory of the season and have struggled for results in recent months, with Burnley without a win inside 90 minutes since February and having won just six matches over the last 12 months.
The hosts have endured a difficult start of their own. Norwich began their fifth consecutive season in the Championship with defeats against West Bromwich Albion and Millwall, although they did return to winning ways in the Carabao Cup with a 2-1 victory over Cardiff City.
Both sides enter Saturday’s meeting looking to kick-start their league campaigns.

Burnley have been handed a boost ahead of the trip to Carrow Road, with Zian Flemming available for selection.
The in-form striker missed last weekend’s defeat at West Brom with a calf problem but returned to action during Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup tie at Bradford City.
Nicky Hayen confirmed on Friday that Flemming had come through the game well and was “ready to play” against Norwich.
The Dutch striker has also been linked with a move away from Turf Moor, with Lille and Everton reportedly reigniting their interest ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Bashir Humphreys will miss the trip through injury, with Hayen confirming that the defender is struggling with a knee problem.
“Bash is the only one who is not actually in the squad,” said Hayen. “He is injured and has problems with the knee.”
Norwich have also received a boost, with Ante Crnac back in action following his long-term ACL injury.
The Croatian marked his return by scoring in Tuesday’s 2-1 Carabao Cup victory over Cardiff City and could be involved again against Burnley.

This weekend’s circumstances are very different, however. Burnley arrive at Carrow Road searching for confidence and their first win of the new campaign, while Norwich will also see the fixture as an opportunity to respond to a disappointing opening to their league season.
For the Clarets, the return of Flemming could provide a much-needed attacking boost. After a difficult opening few weeks, a victory in Norfolk would not only get Burnley off the mark but could provide some valuable momentum heading into the final days of the transfer window.
